Happy Foster Father’s Day
Foster Fathers are there for children in care. When children need guidance or a loving home, foster fathers are there to give them their kind, loving, and nurturing attention.
This Father’s Day, we’re asking Nova Scotians to be there for children in care.
In Nova Scotia, there are more children who need help than there are foster parents to offer it. We need families in communities across the province. Having foster parents in every community means a child who needs one can stay in their home community, their school, and with their friends.
You don’t need any special skills. Your care, attention, and time are all it takes to give a child a stronger future.
Becoming a foster parent is one of the most rewarding things you can do. And we can help you do it. We’re here to provide all the training, resources and support you need.
Open your heart. Open your home. You can do this.
If you’re interested in learning more about becoming a foster parent, I invite you to visit here to learn more about an upcoming information session in your area.
If you are a foster parent — thank you for being there. Your love makes all the difference for the young person in your care.
